Today I was asked by a friend why I
didn't choose Valentine's Day as the topic of the week. Since the day
of days for all those happy couples out there is coming up on Friday
it would be so convenient. And yes, I have to admit I had thought
about it but I really don't want to talk about something that is so
far fetched for myself at the moment. Anyway. Wouldn't it require a
partner to celebrate this day of roses and sweets? So why should I
talk about it despite the fact that I slow but steady lose all faith
in males?
Well, not in all, I guess. Just those
who happen to surround me, though. -_-
Lately I was thinking much about the
British gentlemen and why I couldn't seem to think of any other man
as a gentleman as long as they were not British. Strange thought,
don't you agree?
But apart from imagining English men as
polite, civil, well-mannered and extremely charming (I assume Jane
Austin books and all those regency based movies are to blame) there
is something about those lads from the islands.... I mean, I'm not
the only one feeling that way. Just have a look at the currently
rising fanbases for Brit-actors. They are everywhere. Blimey! They're
a bunch of really enthusiastic girls. ^_^ And they are organised, I
tell you!
I figured nowadays we have the
Cumberbabes (formally know as Cumberbitches but Mr. Benedict
Cumberbatch obviously didn't like his fans calling themselves
“bitches” so they changed their name), the Hiddlestoners and of
course the Armitage Army – which I'm associated with.
What is it, these English man have, to
make women going completely crazy over them?
Oooooh <3 Ben Barnes, Charlie Hunnam! Aber wo ist Rupert Friend oder Tom Mison? ;) Diese Brit-actors-Liste könnte frau ins unendliche fortführen :) I'm definitely feeling this way, too and I'm going completely crazy over them :-D
